       The "F" designation in the model number indicates the product is
        compliant with Restriction on Hazardous Substance (RoHS)
        regulations and can be used on systems shipped into the European
        Union (EU).
       56K V.92 Fax/Modem with On-board DSP for Windows 95/98/Me/NT 4.0 and
        2000.  The performance is enhanced by an on-board DSP (Digital
        Signal Processor) and ITU V.92/V.44 standard compatibility.
       ITU V.92 is a new standard for dialup modems.  It, and its companion
        compression standard V.44, makes communications faster, easier and
        more enjoyable.  The "automatic negotiation" or "handshake"  at the
        beginning of a call can be over twice as fast with Zoom/Modem V.92
        models than with V.90 modems.
       The V.44 compression technology results in significantly faster
        Web browsing and download speeds.  Upload speeds (before
        compression) with Zoom/Modem V.92 models can be up to 40% faster,
        too.  As an added convenience, the V.92 PCI allows an incoming
        phone calls to be received without losing an Internet connection.
        These dramatic improvements in performance are available to V.92
        users whose ISP (Internet Service Provider) has upgraded to the
        standard.  The V.92 PCI is capable of receiving data from an ISP
        or online service over standard phone lines up to 56Kbps
        uncompressed.  Outgoing data is transmitted at speed up to 48Kbps.
       Includes V.80 capability for compatibility with H.324 standard
        point-to-point video telephony over regular phone lines.  It also
        supports Group 3, Class 1 Fax.
       ZoomGuard provides superior protection against lightning, the number
        one cause of modem failure.  ZoomGuard outperforms most stand-alone
        surge protectors.
       Bundled software includes hardware drivers and utilities plus fax/
        voice/data communications, videoconferencing, Internet access,
        graphics editing and other useful programs.

* Channel 2 works in conjunction with Call Waiting to notify you of an
  incoming call while you are online.  It is compatible with all Internet
  Access providers, including America Online and all popular Internet
  browsers and data communications software packages; and with all popular
  operating systems including Windows, Macintosh and Unix.
  When a user is online, the Channel 2 feature permits incoming voice calls
  to be handled one of three ways:
    1) An incoming call can cause the modem to hang up automatically. All
       phones on the line then ring, and calls can be answered from any of
       them.
    2) An incoming call can cause an audible alarm from the modem's
       speaker.
       Once alerted, the user can elect to either ignore the call or
       immediately disconnect from the online session and answer the phone.
    3) The online user can disable the alert signal and ignore incoming
       calls altogether.
